Common questions
Where did my signed file go?
Every signed document is kept inside the app, on the Documents tab, whatever else you chose to do with it. If you picked Choose a folder, there is a second copy in the folder you selected. If you picked Share it now, the copy went wherever you sent it. Your original file is always left exactly as it was.
It says my PDF is password protected
A protected PDF cannot be opened for signing until the password is removed, and PDF Signer cannot remove it. Bank statements and payslips are often protected like this. Open the file on a computer or in the app that produced it, save an unprotected copy, and sign that.
Is this a legal signature?
For everyday agreements, forms and contracts, yes. It is an electronic signature, recognised under the US ESIGN Act and the EU eIDAS rules. It is not a certificate-based digital signature, so it will not show a blue check in Adobe Acrobat. If someone has asked you specifically for that, you need different software. See the Terms of use.
My signature looks rough
Draw slowly, and use the Thick setting if your phone is small. If your finger never gives you something you like, sign a white sheet of paper, photograph it in good light, and use the Upload tab. The app lifts the ink off the paper and drops the white background.
Can I use the same signature on several pages?
Yes. Add it as many times as you like, on any page. Your saved signature is reused every time, so it always looks the same.
Will you add merging, compressing or converting?
No. This app signs PDFs and nothing else. That is the reason it is fast and the reason its home screen has one button instead of thirty.
Do you have my documents?
No. There is no server. Nothing you open is uploaded, logged or backed up to us, and we could not retrieve one of your files if you asked us to. Details in the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete everything?
Delete signatures and documents individually inside the app, or clear the app's storage in Android Settings, or uninstall it. Any of the three removes the lot, because all of it is on your phone.
